For over half a century and multiple continents, I’ve been chasing images, words, and ideas across every creative medium I could get my hands on, and inventing new ways to work when the old ones didn’t cut it.
Self-taught and stubbornly curious, I’ve spent 60+ years building a body of work that refuses to stay in one lane. My art has been published on three continents, appearing in newspapers, on T-shirts, in galleries, and anywhere else a good idea deserves to live. I’ve designed logos that became identities, posters that stopped people in their tracks, and bookmarks that made readers smile between chapters.
As a cartoonist, I’ve had the privilege of seeing my work in print, two different strips in two different newspapers, with a third strip currently thriving online EdwinAndPete.com. My illustrations have graced playbills and t-shirts, my music reviews have filled newspaper columns, and my designs have traveled further than I ever expected.
My drawing work ranges from the mythical to the natural, dragons that breathe fire and personality, landscapes that pull you into another world, wildlife captured in motion and stillness, and portraits that reveal the person behind the face. Whether I’m rendering scales and shadow or capturing the light in someone’s eyes, I bring the same obsessive attention to make each piece come alive.
But I don’t just work with images. Words are equally magnetic to me. I write lyrics that beg to be sung, poems that capture fleeting moments, and short stories that reveal hidden truths. Right now, I’m deep in the trenches of my first novel, the next step in my creative journey.
With over 5 decades of practice and adaption, I work traditionally, digitally, and with AI, whatever tool serves the vision. I paint. I illustrate. I design. I write. I create because I have to, because there’s always another idea demanding to exist, another story that needs telling, another image that won’t leave me alone until I bring it into the world.
If you’re looking for someone who sees creative problems as invitations rather than obstacles, who brings decades of experience without losing the excitement of trying something new, let’s talk. I’m ready to make something wonderful and unexpected together.
